Modern Materials Coprwax Bite Wafers come in a horseshoe shape and have copper particles distributed throughout. The wafer softens in warm water and the copper holds in the heat, so the wax stays softer longer. It also tempers in the patient's mouth, thus it is more stable/firm after the bite is taken than when it was in the box.
